BOWLS TOUR OF SOUTH AFRICA

WINELANDS, GARDEN ROUTE & CAPE TOWN TOUR January/February 2009
PLUS OPTIONAL NAMIBIA EXTENSION!

Your flight to South Africa will depart from the UK on 30th January, 2009 and arrive back into London Gatwick on 20th February, 2009.  The Bowls Tour includes luxury coach and first class accommodation and approximately 10 Bowls matches against local teams.  The itinerary covers the Western Province, including the Winelands, the Garden Route and Cape Town itself.  This year, you also have a wonderful opportunity to break your return journey and experience 5 nights in Namibia at the end of the Bowls Tour.

Your Tour Leader will be Graham Mackenzie (South Africa’s Foremost Coach)

Full details of the itinerary are now available and, once again, considerable interest is already being shown in this ever-popular tour. Accommodation en-route will be at the four star Spier Hotel in Stellenbosch in the heart of the Cape Winelands with panoramic views of the Helderberg Mountains.

This is followed by four nights at The Diaz Strand Hotel in Mossel Bay, located right on the water’s edge.

Heading along the Garden Route, the next 5 nights will be spent at Knysna Quays Hotel, situated in the busy waterfront area, before travelling back along the N2 to experience 3 nights at the Windsor Hotel at Hermanus.

The last 3 nights of the Tour will be at the Commodore Hotel, ideally situated in the V & A Waterfront, one of South Africa’s premier tourist attractions.

NAMIBIA EXTENSION

After the short flight from Cape Town, you will be met on arrival at Windhoek’s Hosea Kutako International Airport by Jenny from our Staines office.  The first evening will be spent at the Kalahari Sands Hotel in the city centre followed by an early morning departure, heading north to spend 2 nights in Etosha National Park – one of the most famous wildlife reserves in Africa.

Etosha is home to many species of mammals including the rare and endangered black rhino.  Predators include lion, leopard, cheetah and hyena.  A great variety of birds, insects and reptiles are also to be found.

This fantastic game-viewing experience is followed by 2 nights at Ai Aiba Lodge overlooking the beautiful Erongo Mountains, where you will have the opportunity to view ancient San rock paintings, followed by a Sundowner Tour.

Places on this ever-popular tour are limited, so please contact Jenny on 01784 465511 as soon as possible to arrange for a copy of the brochure to be posted to you.
